Brass at Bond
Join us as we celebrate the rich, pure sounds of brassinstruments. This
year’sperformance will feature some of North Carolina’s most innovative
brassensembles, including the St. Francis Brass Band, the Triangle Tuba
Ensemble,Brass-on-the-Slide & Friends, Herding Cats Ten-tet and the

Grey Seal Puppets will revisit the Sertoma stage after theirappearance
in 2002. This time they will present another one of their greatpuppet
shows, Bathtub Pirates. Some of the best times in a child’s life
arespent playing in the bathtub. Surrounded by aquatic toys and a sea
of bubbles,the imagination runs wild with adventure stories. What child
hasn’t pretendedto be a pirate, sailing on his own bathtub ship? Join
Captain Kid as heattempts to stop Captain Blackbeard’s plan to become
rich by pirating thelatest video games and programs. This 45-min

The
Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble returns to Sertoma Amphitheatreafter its
highly successful inaugural season in 2005-06 which included concertsat
the Martin Luther King Dream Concert in Memorial Auditorium, a
JazzAppreciation Month Concert at the NC History Museum, and the
Festival on theGreen, Duke Jazz Festival. TheTriangle
Youth Jazz Ensemble is directed by John Brown, Director of JazzStudies
at Duke University, and consists of saxophones, trumpets,

It all began in Southern California where Bill Stonehouse wasborn. By
the age of 17, he wassinging everything from Elvis to the Beach
Boys—“whatever was on the radio, Isang it.” He went on to proudly serve
eight years in the US Military, primarilystationed at Fort Bragg. Aclassically
trained vocalist, Bill’s voice can span four octaves as a high
Cbaritone. While the Baron von Trapp role in the Sound of Music is his
favorite,Bill performs songs from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables
and Fiddler onthe Roof. His forte, however, is as a Big Band crooner--
“I was definitelyinfluenced by the Vegas scene.” Join
Bill’s fiercely loyal following for an evening that includes thesounds
of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and the whole big band era.

Baile Daire (BAL-iah DAR-rah), a Raleigh, NC based bandpresenting a mixture of Irish and other folk music on acoustic instruments,prides itself on its versatility. They are equally at home ripping through aset of Irish jigs or reels as they are rendering the simple beauty of a slowair or lament. They perform both legacy and contemporary ballads from the Irishtradition as well as comical pub songs that are best accompanied by a swingingpint of Guinness. In concert, they demonstrate their love for Celtic music, butdo so from an American perspective.

Time for Three Concert
Time
for Three is made up of one bassist and two violinists,consisting of
the soaring talent of three Curtis stars who have studied withthe best.
Their music is an eclectic experience of bluegrass, jazz, classicaland
country/western that startles, entertains and uplifts. Their sound is
soenjoyable that it puts movie stars, music critics and ordinary folks
on commonground. Paul Newman, one of the group’s biggest fans, was
quoted in a Conneticutnewspaper saying, “To hear these three young guys
